What an iconic design! Smart, sexy and expensive (but worth every penny). This is the model that got me in the portable computer business in the early 80’s and eventually working for GRiD Systems as a sales guy.
We used to drop it on the floor to demonstrate how rugged it was. At nearly $10k each, we were lucky it never broke. Thanks for posting ad bringing back some wonderful memories!
So, at last, which model was introduced first: 1101 or 1100?
They were at the same time. The difference is that the model 1100 does not have an internal modem.

There should be non-volatile memory, you can try to remove it and insert it back. Or use the programmer.
